Unparalleled Spyware Prevention - McAfee SWG includes McAfee's award-winning anti-spyware technology. McAfee SWG filters HTTP and FTP traffic to protect your network against spyware, adware, dialers, keyloggers and backdoors. McAfee SWG uses the same highly accurate pattern files as the desktop security product, McAfee Anti-Spyware Enterprise, to block known threats before they enter your network. The optional Web filtering module provides a second level of protection against spyware. It prevents employees from surfing to Web sites known to host spyware and adware.

In Depth Anti-virus Prevention - McAfee SWG is based on the same anti-virus technology of the desktop product McAfee® Active VirusScan®. The heart of McAfee anti-virus is an engine that blocks both known and unknown viruses, protecting you against zero-day attacks and new virus threats. McAfee SWG scans all Web traffic using HTTP and FTP protocols.

Web Filtering Module - McAfee's Web filtering module lets you block Web pages that are unrelated to your business in order to preserve bandwidth, reduce business risk and legal liability and improve employee productivity. The module is completely integrated with McAfee SWG and is available via an optional license. It includes a comprehensive database containing over 6 million URLs, updated daily and grouped into 69 URL categories and 10 user-defined categories for flexible policy enforcement options.

Outstanding Price Performance - McAfee SWG offers the best price-performance of any comparable solution. The 3300 is designed for enterprises up to 5,000 users; it will filter Web traffic at the rate of 100 Mbps. The ASIC-accelerated 3400 appliance is designed for businesses over 5,000 users; it will filter Web traffic at a rate of 200 Mbps. If your business has less than 1,000 users, consider using McAfee Secure Internet Gateway (SIG).

Comprehensive Scalable Management - McAfee SWG includes a built-in browser-based management system and can also be managed by McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator® (ePO™). ePO allows you to centrally manage gateway devices, as well as desktop systems for all your key security measures, such as anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, anti-phishing and Web filtering solutions.
